Valor Technical Notice #2 (Revised) - Recall of H5 Propane Models 1150ILP/JLP only

Hazard - Delayed Ignition can cause glass front to break posing a laceration hazard.

As announced in June, we have confirmed an issue with Propane Models 1150ILP and 1150JLP where, over years of use, they may develop a delay in main burner ignition during start up. The pressure from this delayed ignition may cause the glass front to break posing a laceration hazard. Of the reports we have received, 2 occurrences involved glass breakage. There was an injury in 1 case to the operator's leg.

We ask all Dealers to please contact purchasers of the above models and instruct them to stop use until the appropriate corrective field action can be undertaken.

To assist your efforts in identifying H5 Propane 1150P's you have sold, please consult your purchase history previously supplied to you indicating date, invoice number, your purchase order number and quantity. We trust with this information you will be able to search your sales records and identify the 1150P homeowners.

Repair parts and tools are currently being sourced and will be built into field repair kits for distribution to Dealers.
